In trade agreement the fourteenth corresponds to a stipendio (importo pari ad una mensilità) che il datore di lavoro dovrà versare il 1 luglio di ogni anno (diverso invece è la data della tredicesima).

Nel CCNL del commercio i permessi studio prevedono che le aziende concedano permessi retribuiti ai lavoratori, non in prova, che vogliano conseguire il diploma di scuola secondaria superiore o un diploma universitario, una laurea specialistica o un master.

I lavoratori con il contratto del commercio potranno richiedere fino ad un massimo di 150 ore di permessi retribuiti in un triennio, da poter utilizzare anche solo in un anno.

Nelle aziende commerciali solo il 2% dei lavoratori potranno usufruire dei permessi studio contemporaneamente. Da 30 a 49 dipendenti, solo un lavoratore l'anno può usufruire di questi permessi.

I lavoratori interessanti ai permessi studio dovranno presentare una domanda written company.
